Richard Baron of Road & Track Magazine asked me to do a piece on restoring old race cars. The idea being that to do it properly you have to make the car end up looking clean and having fewer parts than are actually there. A few years ago I replaced the dashboard in my Triumph TR6 and there were so many wires and connections it was a maze of confusion. I immediately thought of that experience to come up with the concept that was chosen.
